visit to Charlotte, NC
I wanted to take some time and share my most recent adventure to Charlotte, NC to visit my sister and brother-in-law! I'll talk about some places we went and suggested spots for you to remember if you're ever in town! I highly encourage, if you've never visited to take a trip. Tons of good food, so many breweries I can't even count, city markets, cute neighborhoods. Definitely a fun city to explore.
We started off the weekend with a sweaty cycle session at CYCLEBAR. Indoor cycling is a new found passion of mine and one of my favorite ways to workout. It'll definitely kick your butt and make you feel quite accomplished when you make it to the finish. Our next stop was to Vintage Charlotte, which is an awesome indoor pop-up market with all different kinds of vendors. All of this takes place in an awesome rundown warehouse. Lots of cool vendors and stuff for sale. It was pretty neat to see all the local businesses and creatives getting together to share their products.
After that we spent the afternoon rehearsing and recording some music at home, which was definitely one of my favorite parts. I mentioned in my last post how much I enjoy collaborating and playing music with my sister. There is something so special about sharing music with people you love and I think there is definitely something to say about family playing together.
After a day of practicing and rehearsing we grabbed some sushi and went to Freedom Park, a beautiful spot to take a stroll and hang out. We grabbed a table next to the lake, enjoyed our sushi, and then recorded our cover song together! If you missed my last post of the cover go check it out now! I'm definitely planning on more sister collaborations in the future.
We ended the night with an awesome dance party at a rooftop bar downtown! I believe I have a hidden party animal spirit inside and it's fun to let it out sometimes! We had so much fun letting loose and dancing the night away!
On Sunday, we ended the visit with a delicious brunch at the sunflower bakery. It's a family owned locally sources bakery with great food and coffee. Go check them out for yummy baked goods!
It was such a fun week, I left already planning my next visit! If you're ever in the Charlotte neighborhood check out some of the spots I mentioned and let me know what you think! And if you have some of your own favorite spots please share! Until next time!
